Bringing Live Theatre to our local students is a key purpose of the Rotary STARS program.

Over 3200 students have been given there opportunity to visit and experience live performances

at the Sandusky State Theatre or have had the art of 'performing arts" delivered to their school classrooms over the last two years.

In addition, locally, Rotarians shop for clothes with 160 plus children (one child at a time) for six Saturdays each November and December... just in time for the Christmas Holiday. Single Parents, Guardians, and local agencies make sure that we have a shopping list for each child with sizes.  But it is the child who gets to pick out the clothes or jacket(s) in their color, etc.  The fundraiser that funds most of the Rotary Clothes Kids shopping is the Club's Annual Rotary Pizza Challenge in March of each year.  A special thanks to so many local Pizza Stores, Sandusky HS for the location,  and many Rotary volunteers who make the event such a success.

Pictures of many of the years activiites are on this website in the Photo Section or can be found on the club's facebook page.

In 2015, Sandusky Rotary Club along with 15 other clubs in District 6600 collaborated through the Presidents Club of Erie and Lorrain Counties to donate $36,000 to Second Harvest Food Bank of North Central Ohio  towards the purchase of a new Refrigerated Truck which is now delivering food to partner Charities in Sandusky, Huron, Lorain, Elyria, Willard and man are communities each day.  By year's end, Second Harvest with the truck a vital part of the delivery process, beings food to 64,000 + food risk residents of all ages. Picture of the Second Harvest Truck can be found in the Photo Pages of this web site.

Still another local program is the Little Free Library which is offered in conjunction with Murray & Murray as well as the Sandusky Public Library.  It brings books of all types to kids and adults who take a pause at Facer Park.
